Strong cold wind blowing out of the north made for some very interesting clouds and also for sculpted, varigated sand formations. This weekend is the lap of Oregon and Washington Spring Breaks. Cannon Beach Oregon ... Wednesday 8am 11March2009. Temp - 35. Sunrise 740a. Sunset 715p. The 8am Wednesday Morning Meeting and the Gallery Group Meeting were on my agenda this morning. That's what photos #1 and #4 are. Photo two is from the curves at Haystack Rock looking south. The big pointed Rock is Silver Point Rock and next to it is Jockey Cap Rock. Further out at Arch Cape is Castle Rock. The closest rocks are Lincoln Rock (to the left) and Lady Rock. Photo three is The Needles next to Haystack Rock. Cannon Beach Oregon ... Monday 2pm 09March2009. Temp - 40. Sunrise 742a. Sunset 712p. Cannon Beach Cafe opened for business in Midtown this morning serving up a Caribbean influenced cuisine. Located at the entrance to Haystack Rock along with the Cannon Beach Hotel, the new Cafe will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also belly up to the bar for Happy Hour from 4pm - 6pm. Owner/chef Josh Tuckman and father/silent partner Stephen Tuckman converted the former Gower Street Bisto into a very comfortable ambience quite appropriately named Cannon Beach Cafe.
