Cannon Beach Oregon ... Monday 2pm 25Oct2010. Temp - 55. Sunrise 745a. Sunset 614p. Big wind, big waves, rolling logs and brave men. At high tide, the waves would push to the land. then recede 100 yards back before the next push. Today's photos are from the foot of Orford Street in Tolovana - the south end of Cannon Beach. Cannon Beach Oregon ... Saturday 845am 23Oct2010. Temp - 51. Sunrise 743a. Sunset 618p. Clouds coming in from the South. Pretty good wind blowing. My ride north was effortless. We're just two weeks away from the annual Stormy Weather Arts Festival. I'm doing some black and white images for the event. There are four local options for having art framed. Cannon Beach Oregon ... Wednesday 1030am 20Oct2010. Temp - 50. Sunrise 738a. Sunset 622p. Blue skies overhead and fog hanging out along the shore makes for some dramatic images with coastal trees silhouetted by sun rays slicing through the fog. Today's shots were from Silver Point. Cannon Beach Oregon ... Saturday 11am 16Oct2010. Temp - 50. Sunrise 740a. Sunset 635p. Real nice morning on the beach. The air is cool but the sun is warm. Not too windy. Today I rode south to Silver Point. High tides have been all the way up the beach so the sand is hard for riding on almost everywhere. The tide was out. The weather gods have been very kind to me, both on my recent trip and now here back at my favorite place on earth. Today's photos are at the Tolovana Wayside. I walked out of the Wednesday Morning Meeting at Mo's and couldn't resist the scene on the beach where the fresh water flows into the sand. Gulls were bathing in the fresh water. Cannon Beach Oregon ... Monday 1130am 11Oct2010. Temp - 63. Sunrise 736a. Sunset 639p. Yes! New pictures today. I've been traveling and otherwise busy for the past months and have not found time to update photos. I will try to do better in the months ahead. Today's photos are at the south end of Cannon Beach - Tolovana. While I was away, two days ago, a storm blew in and rearranged the sand and logs on the entire beach.
