Cannon Beach Oregon .. Friday 10am 02Sep2011. Temp - 65. Sunrise 637a. Sunset 755p. The sun is warm, the air is cool - out of the north. The puffins are flying. Labor Day Weekend is here. The summer tourist season is coming to an end. Schools are slowly all getting back into session. The empty-nesters can now have the town to themselves. This is the best time of year for a visit to Cannon Beach. Still great weather, everyting open and ready to serve you, but without the crowd. Photo 1 today shows a surfboard with a paddle. The surfer paddles out on his knees. Photo 2 is Haystack Rock and 4 is the puffin/bird viewing telescopes set up by Haystack Rock Awareness Program (HRAP).
