Cannon Beach Oregon .. Sunday 1130am 23Oct2011. Temp - 57. Sunrise 742a. Sunset 618p. I'm back from my Canyon Trek to AZ, UT, NV, CA & Oregon. Today's weather is overcast, but not cold. Quite a few people strolling the beach. Photo #2 appears to be a gull, but not the Western Gulls we are accustomed to seeing here. My canyon trek took me as far away as Arches in Utah and as close as Crater Lake and Silver Falls here in Oregon. I had some varied and therefore interesting weather to photograph in, including snow. I drove a total of 4500 miles over 19 days and even managed to get stuck in the pre-dawn dark at 9000 ft in Utah's first snow storm of the season. Now I am busy preparing for Cannon Beach's annual Stormy Weather Arts Festival - Nov 4-6. This will be my largest event yet. I will be occupying the El Mundo space which is 5 times as big as my "mini" gallery across the courtyard.
