Cannon Beach Oregon ... Sunday 9am 16May2010. Temp - 55. Sunrise 543a. Sunset 841p. Minus low tide at 9am this morning and lots of great puffin viewing at Haystack Rock with the scopes and assistance of Haystack Rock Awareness Program volunteers. As many as 40 puffins have been counted at Haystack Rock right now. They can be seen coming and going from thier burrows where they take turns incabating their egg. Cannon Beach Oregon ... Saturday 9am 8May2010. Temp - 55. Sunrise 553a. Sunset 831p. Finally getting back to some Spring-like weather. All the mothers who live at or are visiting the coast this Mother's Day Weekend are being rewarded. Yesterday was awesome and tomorrow is predicted to be nice again. No wind. Lots of logs on the beach these days. Tide was high when I took these photos, by it was a low high tide. The forest filtered light shot (#4) was just this side of Lion Rock, south of Cannon Beach.
