Cannon Beach Oregon ... Thursday 1120am 24Dec2009. Temp - 33. Sunrise 755a. Sunset 435p. Beautiful day at the beach today. Frost on the rooftops and logs this morning except where the sun is hitting. I rode south to Silver Point. Winter storms and big wave action have claimed sand as is the case every winter. There is between 2 and 3 feet of sand gone that was there several months ago. Rocks that were buried then are now prominent features in the rocky landscape. Pictures 1 and 3 are Silver Point Rock. Picture 2 is Jockey Cap. Picture 4 is frost on a burned out log.
