Cannon Beach Oregon ... Sunday 130pm 31Jan2010. Temp - 51. Sunrise 739a. Sunset 518p. January comes to an end and goes out as one of the mildest in many years. Lots of folks caught by surprise by the mild temperatures and great sunsets. Today's photos are from Silver Point. There was evidence of a very recent slide where a rock the size of large fire file had slid down the hill about 20 feet leaving a trail behind it. The tide was in, so I wasn't able to see if enough sand has bee carried away to expose the smooth rock surface I am hoping to photograph this winter. Stay tuned, I'll keep looking.
