Report from Mark at Cannon Beach Surf: Tuesday 8am 21May2013. Early this morning, the expected rain appeared.... today, 100% chance of rain, with a high of about 50. WSW 4-5ft @ 8-17 sec's with am light NNW winds, swell building later to W 7- 8 ft @ 12 sec's with WNW winds 5-15mph, more rain and a low of around 43 tonight. High tide at 10:15a, low tide at 4p. Forecast for Cannon Beach: Wed: WNW 10-12ft @ 10 sec's with NW winds 5-15mph, minus low tide at 5a, 42/48, clouds and 80% chance of rain. Thurs: WNW 7-8ft @ 10 sec's with SE winds 5-15mph, minus low at 5:50a, 47/53, clouds and 40% Friday: NW 6-7ft @ 13 sec's with light NNE winds, minus low at 6:40a, 46/56, mostly cloudy and 10% Saturday: W 4-5ft @ 15 sec's with light W winds, minus low at 7:30a, 48/58, partly cloudy and 20% Sunday: W 3-4ft @ 15 sec's with light NW winds, minus low at 8:20a, 48/57, partly cloudy and 10% Monday: WSW 3ft @ 15 sec's with SSE winds 5-8mph, minus low at 9:05a, 50/58, partly cloudy and 20% So, the week.....not so good, the weekend looking pretty nice for the Memorial Day weekend...... We have a guy in Portland, that is looking for anyone coming to the beach to bring back a 6ft board to the downtown area..... he will pay..... let me know if any one is making the trek......thanks!
