Bicycles:Pedal your way around Cannon Beach. Leave your fossil fuel burner behind while you do your body and the environment a favor. Cannon Beach is a great little town to bike around. The terrain is mostly flat and everything is in easy biking distance. Except during high tide when the hard sand is scarce, biking on the beach is a real joy. You can connect by bus (see bus info below) to and from Cannon Beach.

Automobiles:There are no rentals in Cannon Beach or Seaside. The nearest is Astoria.

Greyhound - 800-231-2222. Departs: Portland Greyhound Station (550 NW 6th Ave) at 5:45pm daily. Arrives: Seaside (Del's Chevron Station 1215 S. Holladay Drive) at 7:52pm. Duration 2hrs 7min.
Amtrak Bus - 1-800-USARAIL - Arrives and departs at Family Market, 1170 S. Hemlock Street. As of Summer 2001, this bus departs Portland (Union Station) at 6:00 pm, arriving in Cannon Beach at 7:30 pm, then departs Cannon Beach the next morning at 8:35 am, arriving in Portland at 10:15 am, traveling Highway 26 across the Coast Range. Sunset Empire Transit - 800-776-6406 - Public "Flag Stop" bus service to Seaside (8 miles north) Daily except Sundays and holidays. Connects in Seaside to Warrenton and Astoria. Connects in Warrenton to Hammond and the Astoria Airport. Stops downtown Cannon Beach at the Information Center on the corner of Second and Spruce or anywhere else you can flag it down. Makes 9 daily trips to Seaside, starting at 7:11 am. Fare is $.75 one-way to Seaside, and $2.25 to the Astoria/Warrenton area. Call 800-776-6406 for details.
Cannon Beach Shuttle - Operating 7 days a week, the Shuttle serves all accommodations and commercial establishments in Cannon Beach, running the entire length of the City, North (Les Shirley Park) to South (Maher Street in Tolovana Park) and back. Shuttle operates year-round between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., seven days a week. During the summer season (June 13 thru Labor Day) the hours are extended on Fri, Sat and Sun, operating 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pick up times are posted at each identified stop.
